To promote professional interests, advance medical knowledge, and improve the quality of care in surgical gastroenterology, GI oncology, metabolic surgery, and organ transplantation through collaboration, education, and research.

Genesis & Registration

TASG was formally established and registered under the Telangana Societies Registration Act, 2001, receiving its official certificate on September 4, 2024 (Registration No: 858 of 2024). Founded by a group of dedicated surgical gastroenterologists, the association was created to provide a dedicated forum for professionals in the state to collaborate, exchange ideas, and advance the specialty of GI surgery.

Official Registration

TASG is officially registered with the Government of Telangana, marking the formal beginning of the association.

April 17, 2025

Inaugural Foundation Day

A landmark event celebrating the association's founding, attended by esteemed teachers and members. Key discussions shaped the future direction, focusing on collaboration, academic excellence, and membership drives.

May - June 2025

Inaugural Membership Drive

The first wave of life and associate members joined TASG, with funds deposited into the association's ICICI bank account, establishing a strong initial community.

November 5, 2025

Formation of Core Committees

At a pivotal meeting in Jubilee Hills, five key committees (Scientific, Ethics, Membership, Events, Website) were formalized to drive the association's activities and strategic goals.
